Bryan Botttleburg and family spending the morning with me on lake Richland Chambers
We had a good sassy shad bite this morning. Picked up 22 sandbass and 1 hybrid first thing.
Really the first sassy shad fish for me this spring.
Caught the rest on chartreuse slabs 15 to 20 feet off flats and points
Main tip on catching fish using sassy shads for baits is to look for the big white egrets working the shore line. They are feeding on spawning shad so the sandbass ,hybrids and catfish are in there feeding on the shad.
Ease in slow with trolling motor and just using a cast and retrieve method works great
Good fishing guys thanks!
